Home Support Worker

Windmill healthcare has been providing award-winning residential care for 16 years and now we are extending our expertise into Homecare.

Join our team of Home Support Workers providing reliable and considerate homecare services. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to bring positive change to the lives of our service users.

Job Requirements:

  • Have a relevant health or social care background
  • Full or partial FETAC/QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support Course or Pre Nursing Course Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Ability to work in a changing environment
  • Community-based role (Own Car and full clean driving licence)
  • Have a caring and empathetic nature

We will also consider applicants who:

  • Have started their QQI Level 5 major award
  • Have experience in working in a healthcare related field and willing to start QQI Level 5 Health Care Qualification
  • Have previous experience in healthcare

Windmill Homecare has established an in-house QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support Training Programme in conjunction with FRS Training, supported by South Kerry SkillNet. This program allows people who are interested in a career in Community Care to gain a recognised QQI Qualification.
